longer the article is expected to be. Also, keep them brief.
3.
Use numbers in your titles. Example: “10 Best Ways to xyz"
4.
Use “How to” in your titles. Please do love a HOW TO!
5.
Use words like “Ultimate” or “Best” “Stunning” “Free” “Secrets”
“Discover” “Easy” “The Only ___ You’ll Need to ____” These are magnetic.
6.
Make your titles really good. For example, this is a sucky title: “My recipe

So, Natalie, you're a young author! Is this something you want to do when you grow up?

>> I think so. I believe that writing is one of my talents. I wrote and illustrated 12 books and I am working on another 5 new books right now.

What is your book about?

>>My first book is about four friends and a rival. Each has a specialty. Sokron is a visual artist, Meeka loves numbers and math problems, Nina is sensitive to sound and music and Jonsy is sensitive to feelings. They decided to have a PINK SLEEPOVER to celebrate the end of school year. Meeka came up with the idea that the four of them should go to the park first. Once at the park, they met Kiki Shaver who was known as the meanest girl on the planet. Later on, they found an invitation for the fashion show; however, the rules indicated there must be five people on a team and one model from each team must be at least nine years old. They knew that Kiki would be the perfect fit, the fifth member and she was nine years old. The question is: are they brave enough to invite the meanest girl on the planet to join their team?

Why did you write it?

>> I wrote my first book Sewing a Friendship to spread my message that friendships are created when we have the courage to include others.

So, Miriam, why did you write this book?

Why is KLOUT an important tool for social media?

The reason Klout is important is because what you do online spills over to your offline world (I realize I had already said that so you can edit that out if you want) considering that social media is prevalent now and that will continue on. If you are in the marketing, social media, SEO, coaching, writing field or if you are a business owner and professionally working with the public, having a high Klout score is very important. This could be a huge determining factor on whether or not you are given to speaking and guest blogging opportunities.

 
If you are seeking a job in any of those fields, a big determining factor as well is your score in conjunction of your past experience. Having a high score can get you extra nice bonuses such as free hotel upgrades, meals, and other great free or discounted products. Quick Eyeball-It Mushroom Soup: Fast, easy, delicious recipe

For those nights when you need something fast, nutritous and delicious without hassle:
 
Eyeball-it Mushroom Soup
Mushrooms
Stock: Vegetable and Chicken
Carrots, Celery, Onion, Thyme
Cream or Half and Half
Sherry
Olive oil/Butter
This is mostly an non-measured soup and super easy to make. It's very hearty and satisfying on a cold winter evening!
Take a soup pot and add a healthy drizzle of olive oil and a 1" pat of butter. Let it melt.
Add 1/2 of one yellow diced onion and one garlic clove (minced). Cook until onion starts to turn clear (about 4 minutes).
Add chopped mushrooms--use any you like, but chop them the same size for even cooking. I use portabella, shitakke, and button.
Add some thyme (about 1 tsp.).
Cook for about 5 minutes. You can also add some diced carrots and celery.
Once mushrooms and veggies are starting to cook, add 2 cans of vegetable stock and one can of chicken stock.
Add a healthy dose of sherry (about 1/4 cup).
Cover and cook on simmer for about 40 minutes. Stir now and then.
When near finished, take half of mixture and put in a blender and blend. Add it back to the soup.
Turn off soup. Add some cream or half and half (about 1/2 cup).
Mix well, season to taste and serve!

Authors that self-publish (and even those that go the traditional publishing route) need promotion to sell their books. It’s a fact. Getting that usually requires lots of articles posted on the web, radio shows, tele-seminars, etc. Generally, just a lot of time to “get the word out” and build credibility and exposure  and try to drive traffic to ultimately buy their book.

 

Savvy artists are the same. They need to get their art out to the world. This helps build a following, increase credibility and eventually start getting their art into
the hands of those that collect and appreciate it. Video is a prime promotional vehicle for such a visual medium.

 

Small business owners already know that marketing is important; but are they taking full advantage of the low-cost alternatives available to them? Marketing and promoting with vides helps increase their ability to get the word out about their business, showcase themselves and build an interest in what they offer.

 

Good informational/educational videos are an excellent way to market and promote a business, book or creative endeavor. Since you have the ability to use an interesting format, sound, photos, etc., it takes it from a static web page to visually-enhanced and intriguing promotional opportunity.

 

Video can be used to:

 

-Build credibility: Let your audience know who you are. Include a picture of yourself and start building name recognition.

 

-Use the visual aspect to teach: Showcase yourself teaching how to use your products, record testimonials, showcase results people have gotten using your products, etc. In other words, put a visually-memorable medium in their minds.

 

-Show the world your personality: People buy from people disguised as businesses. You know you prefer to buy from one website vs. another that may have the exact same items. One has an interface you trust, prices you like or just the fact that the owner makes himself available.

 

-Develop a series: Break down tips or steps into a series of video and use them to keep bringing back your audience to get more. If you give everything in one video, you’re forced to come up with new material for each, plus you run the risk of creating a long, boring video (which, unless very well-done, most people won’t take the time to watch.

 

-Keep your videos short and pleasant: A running time of under three minutes is optimal. Most people don’t have the attention span to devote to more, unless they are very interested in your topic. Use soft, pleasant music or narrate the video yourself. Silent videos are dull, so try to use sound of some type.

 

-Use photos and pictures to illustrate your point: If you’re doing a live film video, you’re showing yourself, but also be sure to use props and your products to illustrate a point. Just a talking head in front of a video camera is completely overused and somewhat dull (unless you’re really funny or entertaining, which many of us are not!).

 

-Videos created using slides vs. filmed content can place photos of products, people, etc. in them to make them more interesting. Use animation sparingly. No one wants to be jarred from slide to slide with spinning text and zooming transitions. Choose one slide transition for all slides and only use animation on every other slide or at least choose a few to remain static to give the eye a break.

3 "Do It Now" Profit Strategies for Home Party Plan Sales


1. Create separate sections of audience and then put together your sales event. For example: If you can put together a teen event for just teens or working moms with just working moms, your outcome will be better. Always know your audience and then tailor your party to them.

 

2. Always have a proven marketing strategy to get people to your event as well as hold the event. One contact? Not usually enough. You need to touch people several times in order to build the relationship and get them interested in your party. You also need to have a system in place to get your party to hold. 3. At every show you should have a "today only" special. This creates urgency and excitement. Make it good and you'll see great profits from this alone. Just be sure to let everyone know that the special will end as soon as your party does!

WAHMS-- Get found on Google easier, faster


WAHMS...do you have a great site or blog that just isn't getting the views and traffic you need?

Here's an idea (it takes maybe 30-60 minutes a week, but it's worth the effort). To get higher search ranking (seen on the first couple pages of Google), you need quality content as well as quality backlinks. You likely know it already, but how to get those high-quality backlinks is somewhat of a mystery.

A couple ideas:

1. You can spend some time going to forums and commenting on high-level sites. Always be sure to add your URL in your comment and voila...a backlink from a high-level site. For instance, if you comment in the forums on amazon or a similar site, you site will have a link back from that site.

2. You can have someone do this for you. There are several sites where you can pay someone to do this (for as little as five dollars on fiverr.com and other sites like odesk.com). Be sure to work with those who understand your business and the ins and outs of backlinking properly.

3. Stay away from link-farms and low-quality, low content sites. These are looked upon poorly by Google and the search engines and are not worth the effort and time. If you decide to pay for the links, be very sure where the links are placed or it could do you more harm than good (another reason to spend a little time doing it yourself).

If you just place 5 backlinks a week, in one month you'll have 20 backlinks! It's a little and effort, but it adds up fast and can really help you get boosted in visibility and traffic.

According to Direct Selling Association statistics, 85 percent of direct sales people spend fewer than 30 hours per week working their business. Working part-time is the reason many people go into the business of direct sales in the first place. But what are some tried-and-true methods that will help you work smarter, not longer?

 

A top-level producer with one company has worked with her company for over six years. A mother of three and an elementary school teacher, she’s taking time off from teaching to work her direct sales business while her children are small.

1. Be Active in Social Media - everybody knows that social media is growing by leaps and bounds. It is important to get your name out there, but did you know that there is a certain way you have to use these outlets to gain the traffic you desire?

2. Be Unique In Your Marketing Endeavors - don't follow the cookie cutter type of announcements or sales - be creative, put a splash of personality in your advertising and make your customers WANT to contact you to see what you can do for them.

3. Cater to a Niche, not the World - We all want to make money and provide for our families, but targeting the entire world is not the way to proceed. Niche markets are far more lucrative - figure out what your business entails, who your target audience is and cater directly to them.

 
4. Market Effectively – what does this mean? If you work for a direct sales company or party plan company, you want to make the most of your sales materials. Distributing them to everyone is a waste of money, but focusing on those who express interest will allow your marketing materials to make money for you.

 

5. Rewards for Referrals – The one thing you can afford to do is reward your current customers for referring friends and family members. This is an effective marketing tool, even if you only give them credit towards products. Do you know why this works? 1. After the sale be sure to follow up with the customer. You'd be surprised how often this simple tip is overlooked! You could follow-up with a "thank you" email and include an advertisement for other products you sell. You should follow-up every month.

2. Upsell to your customers. When they're at your order page, tell them about a few extra related products you have for sale. Make it easy for them to just add it to their original order.

3. Tell your customers if they refer four customers to your web site, they will receive a full rebate of their purchase price. This will turn one sale into three sales.

5. Sell the reprint/reproduction rights to your products. You could make sales for the reproduction rights and sales on the back end product.

6. You could cross- promote your product with other business products in a package deal. You can include an ad or flyer for other products you sell and have other businesses selling for you.

7. When you ship out or deliver your product, include a coupon for other related products you sell in the package. This will attract them to buy more products from you.
