What are your top tips for a fun, profitable party?

Put the focus on the hostess and the guests there. It is more important to know their names and to make them feel good, than it is to know every detail about the products that are being presented.  Have fun, be brief and be gone ... and if so, they will come back for more!
 

What advice can you offer to someone looking for a direct sales company to join?

Find a company that has products that you enjoy and can feel comfortable sharing.  The best business is a "consumable" product business because you make instant profit and people will re-order in the future.  Research to make sure that the company has a good hostess program which will create bookings and that the management program is achievable and lucrative for their future.

 

What about strategies for success? In your opinion, what will help someone succeed in a direct sales business? Many start, but only a few will attain success while others drop out. Why?

Answered in various questions above, but they need to be able to learn self-discipline and to take the work steps involved in order to have their dream.  Too many think it is going to be too easy and they don't invest in themselves with training and doing the "daily disciplines" such as making a contact list, and making consistent phone calls to build their client base.  At the first challenge or the first disappointment, they give up rather than reaching out to their Manager or Sponsor and asking what they can do differently in order to become successful.

 
What about managing your day-to-day business? How do you stay focused on growing your business when laundry needs to be done or other distractions beckon?

By having a "to do" list and trying your best to stick to the priorities that will build your business.  There will always be distractions, but ask yourself "Does this really need to be done now?" or "Is this an effective use of my time?"  Is it building work or is it busy work?  If it is busy work, then try to delegate it - whether it is paying someone such as a high school student to help part-time or involving members of your family to help so that your business truly can be a family business where they cannot only contribute, but also feel a part of the success and feel good about the benefits received.

Interview with WAHM Prosperity Coach Grace Rozankovic


1.    Tell us about your business opportunity--what do you represent?

Well I am a Work At Home Mum Coach (WAHM Coach) & Network Marketer while staying at home looking after my two kids under the ages of three. 
 

Basically, I joined this particular network because it was a nice little package and in my eyes had it all - the products and tools I needed to get started.  And it was a low start up cost initially but once I got going my vision started to expand and upgrade within a month lol.  It gave me a platform to express myself and education on how to grow as a person and in my business direct with the ability to leverage and earn money along the way.  
 

I essentially am helping other stay at home mums to get started and assist in any way possible as it has been very rewarding for me and has changed my life completely. 

 
Nope I am no millionaire! Lol Yet!  But my Vision, Purpose & Why out way any possibility of failure.  In my eyes there is no plan b now!  And want to help others who have the same desire to succeed.

 

2.    How long have you been involved with this? How did you get into it?

I came from the corporate world of being a Business Analyst and was earning really good money but we (my husband and I) decided to opt out of returning to this once we started having a family – my dream ultimately was to raise my own children and be a successful business woman! Lol  

 
So I started investigating online as most people do and Us stay at home mums become pretty proficient in doing this amongst, nursing our babies, household chores, preparing dinners, mashing baby food and the list goes on!  

 
I came across this organization and truthfully stayed on the side line while I watched many people, ordinary people make tons of money.  So eventually I just ended up opting in as of April 2013 as I found someone in my home town participating and thought to myself – its time.  
 

Funnily enough some of my close circle of friends are from all over the world so I learned quickly that it actually doesn’t matter where you reside because we are all connected via this amazing tool called the internet and Facebook has become our my new office (virtual office!). 

 

3.    What type of team members are you looking for?

I am looking for people who wish to align themselves with a community of like minded entrepreneurs that all want to show you exactly how to create a fulltime income from part-time blogging so that you can spend the majority of your time building YOUR dreams instead of someone elses.  It is definitely not easy.  But if you are coachable, ready to learn the steps to plug in then we have the products and tools to get you started. WAHMs: How to talk to your party plan prospects (Part One)

Question: Are you more attracted to a busy person with much going on or a person who seems to have nothing happening and can leisurely talk on the phone for an hour?
 
 
LESSON ONE: Be in a hurry with your prospect. Start your calls or conversations with the hurried stance; you'll find there will be fewer questions and people will respect you and your time.

 
Here are some "hurried" script examples:

 
For warm prospects:


 
● "Hi! I'm so glad I caught you. I only have a minute..."

● "I'm super busy today, but I wanted to talk for just a minute..."

● "I need to run out the door in a moment for a meeting, but I wanted to call you quickly..."
 

For cold  prospects:



● "I wish I had more time to get into this with you, but let me quickly tell you..."

● "I need to get to a meeting in a few minutes, but first let me tell you..."
 

Talking to a person and letting them know that

1.) You're not going to take all day with them  and

2.) Your message is short and sweet will set them at ease and warm them up to your message.

WAHM Business Opportunity: Be a DOULA!

1.   Tell us about your business opportunity--what do you represent?

 

We train and certify individuals to work with expectant and new parents, through a 6-in-1 certification training program.  It is the most comprehensive program in the industry, preparing you for a highly flexible career - you can stack the areas of your work life in whatever way you like.  
 
The work is rewarding, there is a lot of flexibility, and fantastic earning potential.  Upon completion of training, you have certifications in six areas: birth doula, postpartum doula, antepartum doula, in-home childbirth educator, parenting preparation coach, and family lifestyle professional organizer. 
 
After a 20 week online training coupled with one-on-one coaching sessions, you receive a 6 week business training program, a digital file with materials to launch (client handouts, promotional materials, record-keeping materials) and even a website template to help you create an online presence quickly.  
 
You then receive ongoing educational support through monthly newsletters containing educational podcasts, industry updates, and more.  The idea is to create an opportunity for people to create re-warding self-employment, with a highly flexible schedule, and solid earning potential.  

 

2.   How long have you been involved with this? How did you get into it?

 

I was a parent educator, life coach, parenting/relationship author, and professional organizer for many years.  I wanted to be a midwife, and began apprenticing in that field, but found I liked the emotional connection of labor support, better. 
 
Entering the field from that perspective, I saw that the training of most certification programs didn’t provide much in terms of support, plus I saw that my other skills combined well - thus the 6-in-1 training.  Creating a more demanding doula certification program seemed an obvious need to meet.  
 
My program allows people to provide truly comprehensive support that spans a longer time, and works more deeply with their client than other trainings go.  I’ve been in this about 5 years now.  

 

3.   What type of team members are you looking for?

 

The ideal student candidate is seeking an independent professional career, wants to make a difference in their community as well as in their lives.  They are committed to excellence, and tend toward empathy.  They have to be ready to work long hours when attending a birth, and have good organizational skills to manage their client appointment schedule.   They must also appreciate a varied schedule. 
 
Our professionals may work 2-4 long days per month, while attending a birth, then combine all of their in-home consulting and education sessions into another 3-5 long days of work - or span them out across shorter periods of time across more days.   That flexibility and diversity of schedule and tasks is not for everyone. 
 
However, if you are well-suited for it, it feels like a golden opportunity to earn solid income in what totals a lot less days, if you slice it right.  Plus the income can be phenomenal.   In major metropolitan areas, such as NYC, it is not uncommon for an experienced doula to earn $1200-1800 per birth, and up to $550 for a one-evening in-home education session with a few follow-up emails.

 

4.   What is special about your business/team?

 

We are the most rigorous in the industry - our training is not for lightweights.  We have been called the “Harvard of Doula & Parent Support Training.”  Other training programs have open admissions - we only accept 300 students world-wide annually, and that makes it very competitive.  Many other training programs are one weekend long - we have a 20 week, 200 hour base training program, with one-on-one coaching sessions, then mentorship.   We have a Board Exam to qualify you - many others do not. 
 
We require significant safety training, unlike other portals to this work. This is because we want to ensure our graduates and their clients are safe, so they study: Blood-borne pathogen safety; food handler safety; conflict resolution skills; CPR; First Aid Safety; Body Mechanics Safety, and more.   We require a lot, but we are also known as being the highest quality  - plus we have the 6-in-1 certification which is an industry first.  Too, we have the free 60 hour business support class, and provide the materials and tools to help you successfully launch.

Build a strong downline for your home party plan business: 5 TIPS


Build a Strong Direct Sales Downline Team with 5 Simple Tips


One of the best parts of being in direct sales is the fact that you can recruit, train and motivate a team that works for you not only building their own little empire, but helping to boost yours as well. It's the number one reason many direct sellers concentrate so hard at recruiting a team of their own.


If you are a team leader, you'll find that you must build firm alliances with team members. Not doing so would only risk losing them all together. You need to build up a solid relationship that will benefit you both. 

How can you make certain your team is feeling included and supported, but still maintain some sense of balance within your own life and business? It can be demanding trying to provide support to everyone (especially if you have a large team). Follow these five ideas for sustaining a supportive and good connection with your team: 

1. Begin well. New recruits are a little scared, excited and uncertain--all at once! Make sure they have all their questions answered and know what to do to take the fear out of this new endeavor.
 
Don't wait to communicate once she gets her kit. Start the training and mentoring the minute she signs up. You can do this easily via email or texting. Don't make it a monumental task; just be sure to touch base frequently.

 2. Give of yourself (for at least 15 minutes a day). Leave them a voicemail, write emails, send out broadcast emails to your group, do whatever works with your team. You can devote a few minutes to those team members who need a little more help. Make a time for a phone conference and stick to it.

3. Even if you have a personal website for your business, make a team website. It is great for communication. You can post new members, meeting dates and updates, etc. Your team can check it at their convenience and it keeps everyone connected.


4. Meeting and personal conferences with your team are essential. You should hold group meetings or even tele-meeting (everyone can dial in at a certain time and you can conduct business, answer questions, etc.) These are great and convenient, but be sure to at least have quarterly meetings and see your team in person. It makes a difference.

 5. Emails and ecards are great ways to connect. Set up a calendar of dates of your team birthdays, etc. and send them out accordingly. It lets your team know they are important to you and strengthen your bond of working together for mutual benefit.


Bottom line...communicate, communicate, communicate! Your team needs to know you are there for them and that you care about them. They'll be more likely to stay in business, work hard and stay motivated if you do these simple things.
